Nutrition is almost always the most complicated component whether you’re dieting for the sake of losing a few pounds or trying to prepare for a competition. If you eat too much, you will surely gain unwanted weight in places you might not want it. If you eat too little, you risk losing hard-earned muscle you’ve gained. Finding the right caloric balance is important in order for your body to perform at its best.
The first thing you need to do is figure out your calorie requirements based on your basal metabolic rate (BMR). Your BMR is how many calories you would burn if you were to do nothing but rest for an entire day. training split to follow, what exercises you should do, and how many reps and sets should be done. And rest, yes rest, also plays a critical role in your programming because that is when muscle growth occurs. You want to avoid overtraining. All of these are important in developing an exercise routine that you can follow and stick with for the long haul.
